It was a pretty busy day and there were lots of people milling about the courtyard where they were selling both apples and pumpkins. Near the courtyard, they also had some animals that you could pet and feed. So, we went over to the fence to check out the animals first. Garytt has become more comfortable with petting zoo animals. He even let a goat touch his hand this time, which is a drastic change since we went to the Oshkosh zoo at the beginning of the summer when the sheep terrified him!
Beyond the animals, there was a huge play area for kids. They had tricycles, a small hay bale maze, a slide, and more. It was a very hectic area! We had barely walked into the playground area when Garytt tripped and took a big fall in onto the gravel. He was really upset and ended up with a pretty good scrape on his head. So, you'll see he still has some tears in some of the pictures. What a bummer!
Justin took Garytt through the kiddie hay bale maze. But it was way more fun to walk on top of the hay bales!
There was also a slide that was covered with corn stalks. Justin took Garytt up to the top while I waited down at the bottom for him. The actual slide was too small for adults to go through with the kids. So, it was a little scary for him the first time, but he loved it and wanted to keep doing it. We let him go up and down a few times but then we had to move on...

Finally, we headed out to the pumpkin patch to try to find the perfect pumpkin. The pumpkin patch had a lot of brush in it and a lot of the pumpkins were already picked over. So, we spent some time out there but ended up deciding not to bring back a pumpkin. We still enjoyed the adventure. It was very windy and a little chilly out there!
Once we decided that we weren't going to find a great pumpkin out in the pumpkin patch, we headed back to the courtyard area. In the courtyard, they had a little wagon set up with pumpkins on it, which was a great picture spot. So, we attempted to get some good pictures with just Garytt's Halloween shirt on. Well, between the fact that a one year old has very little desire to just sit and smile and the crazy wind, we didn't get a very good picture. Oh well.

We had a nice time visiting The Little Farmer, but I think next year we would try to find a place that isn't quite so busy.
