Since we had never been before, we had to learn the ropes. It turns out there isn't much to know. They gave us a paper bag and sent us out into the orchard. All the apples were 55 cents a pound...super cheap! They explained that the best way to determine if you like a certain kind of apple is to pull one off and polish it on your shirt and try it. Good to know. So, off we went into the orchard.

Justin is "testing" one of the apples...he looks pretty happy with it.
I also took a short video of Garytt's first apple picking experience.
After we were finished picking apples, we headed back to the front to weigh the apples and pay. We ended up with eight pounds of apples!!
Sprangers Orchard also has a small pumpkin patch. But we decided it was getting too close to lunch to attempt to go out into the pumpkin patch that day. So, we just took a few pictures up by the pumpkin display instead. We will have to go to a pumpkin patch another day.
Garytt really wasn't in the mood to pose for pictures...

Finally, we just let him look through the pumpkins.
We have already decided we have to go back and get more apples before the season is over. The apples are cheap and it is a good family outting.
Later that afternoon, Justin took Garytt out into our front yard because one of our trees had already started dropping leaves. He thought Garytt might enjoy playing in the leaves. However, he looks mostly unsure about the whole experience.
He did finally play with the leaves for about two seconds...I don't really think he thought this was a fun adventure.
The last but not least of Garytt's adventures for the day was watching the Aggie football game.
Last Saturday was a really busy day! We were able to fit a lot in and I think we all enjoyed it!
