Westyn's 6th Birthday - Family Fun

Westyn's birthday fell on a Saturday this year. So, the Polok group was kind enough to drive up on Friday to celebrate the birthday boy.

As always, Westyn started his birthday out with a birthday donut. Usually it is just the birthday boy and dad but Westyn said we could all go get a donut together this year.


Of course the cousins joined us for the birthday party at Lost in Fun. Then we all came home and had a little rest before it was time to open gifts at home and have more cake. Westyn liked him Pokemon balloon that I got for the party.


I tried to get a brother picture. It was more challenging that it should have been.


Finally it was time for gifts.

Westyn's 6th Birthday Party

As it turns out, one of Westyn's best school buddies has the exact same birthday he does. They call themselves "birthday buddies." Of course, the most logical thing to do was host a joint birthday part for their school friends. And, of course, it had to be Pokemon themed.

We had a private party room, which we quickly decorated.


Pretty soon party guests started arriving. Kids got their wrist bands and off they went to play.


Once everyone had a little bit of time to play, we gathered them all up and had some lunch.

 
Cake time! (They thought it was so funny Westyn didn't get all his candles blown out, so Jack helped him.)

After lunch and cake, the kids took off for some more fun.


When it got close to time for parents to arrive, we called the kids back to the room to get drinks, a group picture, and hand out the party favors.
