October Randomness

October 1 was a really nice day. So, Justin took the boys out on a nature walk and had them write down the things they observed.

It's tough being a dog.

The cub scout pack had a fun bowling outing.

Garytt had a day off school when Westyn had class. So, I took him to Krispy Creme. He picked the zombie donut to match his shirt.

Garytt was invited to a birthday party from one of his friends from Martyrs. They had a KISS rock and roll party.

We went to see Shrek the Musical at the Rose. And we waited to meet the actors afterwards.  Shrek really liked Garytt's shirt choice.

Grandma and Grandpa sent yet more KSU gear.

Westyn borrowed Justin's sunglasses one day. While we were waiting for Garytt after school, an older student said to his mom, "Hey, that little kid looks like a boss." LOL.

Of course, we celebrated Justin's birthday on October 21. There was a cub scout meeting that night, so it was a quick celebration, but at least there was cake!

Lunch at Sam's club is always a hit with the boys.

Halloween Fun 2016

Westyn's Lutheran preschool celebrated Halloween in mid-October. Both boys were going to be Lego Ninja's for Halloween but since I didn't have those costumes yet, we came up with another costume that would be easier for him to wear to school. We decided he would be his favorite book character. He just loves all the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie books. I think he makes a pretty cute mouse.

Garytt's school doesn't have Halloween parties. Instead, they celebrate All Saints Day and the kids get to dress up as their favorite saint. Garytt chose Saint Michael. He made his own shield. We didn't have wings, so you just have to imagine those. Some students have really elaborate costumes!

On October 28, the boys got dressed up in their Halloween costumes to go to the Cathedral Trunk or Treat event. The Lego Ninjas were ready to go!

The trunk or treat was a good time. Unfortunately, I didn't take too many pictures.

Justin was out of town for the actual Halloween night. So, I took the boys around the neighborhood with some of the friends from the circle.

We hit quite a few streets around us. It was dark when we got back home but Westyn wanted a picture with his pumpkin.

The boys were happy with their haul and they even pulled out all the Kit Kats to save for Justin.
