Camping Fun

As the partying was winding down, Uncle Kyle offered to take the boys out on his bass boat for a trip around Kingman Lake. The boys were so excited!

 
After the boat rides, it was time to put the tent up and get the campfire started. Then we roasted marshmallows!


Finally it was time to settle into the tent for the night...well, time for Justin and the boys to settle in anyhow...I slept in the cabin!


Westyn didn't make it the whole night in the tent. He ended up coming inside with me. But I was so proud of Garytt! He made it through the whole night...what a big camper!

The next morning, Garytt got to go back out on the boat with Justin and Kyle. (Westyn was still sleeping...early bird gets the worm!)


Jacob was happy to go up and down the ramp in his walker most of the morning.


And Westyn was still sleeping...


Eventually everyone was up, we had a campfire breakfast, and it was time to pack up.


We had a great weekend celebrating Jacob's birthday and camping with the Polok family!

The following weekend we celebrated Jacob's birthday at Kingman Lake. Bec asked Justin to create the invitation and I think it turned out great!


Bec did a great job of decorating to reflect the fishing theme.


The boys enjoyed playing all the little games that were there.


Pretty soon the big guy came out to enjoy the fun and I grabbed a quick picture with the birthday boy.


Then it was Great Aunt Kathy's turn.


Jake wasn't much for sitting still...so Grandma took him for a walk...which turned into a walk for all the kids.

Pretty soon it was time to eat!


And then, more importantly, it was time for cake and cookies, while Jake opened his gifts.


Finally, it was time for Jacob to get his first cake!
