April 2018 Randomness

I set up my old laptop so the boys could play some games and practice typing on it. Games are more fun though! As I sat there watching Westyn play Mahjong on the table we inherited from Great Aunt B, I felt her smiling down on us...one of her boys playing her favorite game on her table.

Stickers on the face...apparently it's a thing.

Playing Laser Maze with Grandpa.

Bowling fun at UNL lanes.

Some videos of the bowling fun. Be sure to watch the first video of Westyn!

Reading with Aunt Shira.

Reading by himself.

Westyn's Kindergarten teacher had a baby shower in her classroom. The kids had a blast.

Eating dinner and watching your plants grow.

Studying the Bible.

Just a boy and his dog...love this photo!

They had a fun spring clean up day at school that concluded with some group activities like making bird feeders and building art out of recycling.

The boys picked quite a stack of books from the used book sale at school.

Garytt's 1st Communion

On April 8, 2018, Garytt received his First Holy Communion.

The special mass was scheduled for 2pm and since we had a number of out of town guests, we had a lunch, cake, and presents before the mass.

Of course, Westyn wanted to photo bomb.

Time for presents.

After the luncheon, it was time to get ready for mass.

We arrived and all the kids were hanging out in the church basement.

One of the teachers took a few pictures during the mass.

Here's Garytt receiving his First Communion from Monsignor Nemec.

After the mass, they gathered them all together for pictures. These are the photos that Justin took.

We also got the official group shot from the photographer.

Of course, we had to get pictures with Garytt and the family and friends that came to support him. Grandma and Grandpa. (and Westyn)

We thank everyone we made it to Lincoln to celebrate this special sacrament with Garytt and we thank all those family and friends who couldn't make it but kept him in your prayers.
