Dinosaurs Before Dark Theater Camp

One of the things that Garytt took part in over the summer was an acting camp. The acting group that we previously had used didn't have any camps for his age group during weeks when we were available. So, we decided to go with a new group called Theater Arts for Kids and his acting buddy, Simon was also doing TAFK, so that was great!

The two week camp ended with a production of Dinosaurs Before Dark, which is based on a Magic Tree House.  Here are the pictures from the final production, which was in July 2017.

The final production was very well done. And I think Garytt enjoyed the camp and did a great job in the show! Sadly, I don't think we will be returning to the TAFK program next summer. The "closed door" policy when dropping off campers made me uncomfortable and when I inquired with the director, she seemed to take offense rather than understand why a parent might be uncomfortable with that set up. Hopefully next year the other theater group will have times that work in our schedule so Garytt can continue his theater fun.
