2017 Pacific NW Trip - Day 5 - Museum of Flight

On the morning of June, 12, 2017, we had to say good-bye to Birch Bay. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to go back again soon to this lovely bay side town.

We headed to Seattle for the remainder of our trip. After several hours in the car, it was time to take a break and I really wanted to see a lighthouse while we were in the Pacific NW. So, we stopped at Discovery Park in Seattle to see the West Point Lighthouse.  It was so peaceful and quaint.

Sadly my plan to have a picnic by the lighthouse didn't work out well. There were no picnic tables by the lighthouse and it was chillier than I anticipated. So, we had another picnic in the car.

After lunch, we went to the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Another freebie on our science pass!

Then it was time to head to our hotel. We stayed at the Camlin in downtown Seattle, which is a really beautiful historic hotel.

Since the Camlin is located within walking distance of pretty much all the great Seattle sights, Justin dropped the boys and I off at the hotel and went to return the rental car. Of course, while we waited for Justin, the boys wanted to check out the hotel pool!
