Little Gym

On June 6, Garytt completed another semester at The Little Gym. This was, however, the first semester he was in class by himself...no more parent child classes for him!

So, Show Week was fun because the parents are not usually allowed in the gym during class, although we all watch in the waiting area. They actually had the kids rotate through each apparatus as if in a gymnastics meet. They did bars, floor, and balance beam.
 

While Garytt and his classmates did their routines and I tried to take pictures, Westyn got a little taste of exploring the gym. We will have to start him on classes soon because he had a blast.


After all the kids went through the routines, they had a little awards ceremony where each child received a medal.


Then they got a group photo with all the kids up on the awards podium. I have to say that this picture in not representative of the class throughout the semester! The smallest girl in the picture must have been from a different class because I have never seen her. The other two girls are normally in his class but there are usually about 4-5 more boys in his class! In fact, normally, the class is pretty rowdy because of all the boys!


After the awards ceremony, they all got to just play in the gym for the remainder of class.  Look at that Gold Medalist in the making!

The summer at The Little Gym is very flexible. So, we will catch classes when we can because, as you can see, they love it!
