Disneyland-Part 2

After lunch at Goofy's Kitchen, and a break for a nap, we went back to Disneyland. I thought we were going to be late for the afternoon parade but as it turned out, we arrived just as it was starting, so we quickly grabbed a spot to watch it.  It did not disappoint!

As a side note, as the princess float came by, Garytt pointed out Snow White and waved to her. It appeared that she saw him because she blew a kiss right to him. He turned to me with this huge smile and said, "Mom, she blew me a kiss." I think that after Snow White gave him his very first kiss in Disney World, it is safe to say Snow White is his favorite princess.

After the parade we headed to Mickey's Toon Town. On our way, we found Snow White wishing well.

We made it to Mickey's Toon Town.

Our first priority was to go to Mickey's House to meet the main man!

The boys loved touring Mickey's house. And in the back, we were able to meet Mickey and get a picture.

Minnie's house was next door but the line to meet her was crazy long. So, we let the boys play in some of the toon town cars while we decided which attraction to go to next.

Justin decided that he would take Garytt on the little roller coaster. The line wasn't terribly long but while they waited in line, Westyn and I went to see Donald's ship and Chip 'n Dale's Tree House.

After Westyn and I explored a bit of Toon Town, we were able to watch Garytt ride his first roller coaster. (He and Justin are sitting in the very front car.)

When we met up with them after the ride, Garytt said that the ride was a little bit scary but also fun. His first roller coaster was a success!

After Toon Town, we headed into Tomorrowland to ride the spaceship ride that Garytt saw early that morning and had been asking to ride all day.

We wanted to go see the show called Mickey and the Magic Map. So, we headed toward the theatre and found a Mickey Mouse pretzel for a snack on the way.

Mickey and the Magic Map was a really cute show where Mickey jumps into the maps and meets various Disney characters.

We all enjoyed the show and it was a good note to end our day at Disneyland. Disneyland closed at 7pm for regular ticket holders that day and it was almost 6:30 by that time. (The park was holding a special ticketed event called Mickey's Halloween Party starting at 7pm.) So, we gave the boys some glow sticks and started heading out of the park.

On our way out we saw the most amazing group with matching Halloween costumes. They were characters from The Wizard of Oz. They had everyone, including flying monkeys!

Mickey's Halloween Party is the one event where adults are allowed to wear costumes to Disneyland and, apparently, people go all out for it! We thought doing a full day at Disneyland and then staying late for the party would be too much for the boys in one day, so we had plans to come back for the party in a few days. Looks like fun!
