Friday, October 25, the boys woke up to find some more Mickey surprises to kick off our Disneyland day. I made these shirts to go with the Halloween decor at Disneyland and was thrilled about how they turned out.
Garytt was a little groggy while he waited for us to finish getting stuff ready to go. Meanwhile, Westyn was busy with his new puzzle.
We made it to the front gates of Disneyland, which were all decorated with pumpkins. (Side note: I
never wear yellow but Justin had an extra zombie run shirt, which we thought went along with the Halloween theme better than regular shirts.)
We made it through the main gates and took a picture in front of the Disneyland train station. (Yes, for some reason Westyn felt the need to show us his belly.)
Then it was off to Main Street.
At the end of Main Street, we stopped to see the famous statue of Walt and Mickey with Sleeping Beauty's Castle in the background.
Finally, it was time to walk through the castle into Fantasyland to start the rides. First up, we found Pinocchio's Daring Journey.
Then we let the boys use their big muscles to try to pull out the sword from The Sword and the Stone.
Then it was time for Dumbo! We rode it twice!
Then we headed over to Storybook Land where you ride in a boat through Monstro's mouth to see a miniature world of storybook places.
We could see the Casey Jr. Train from the Storybook Land ride, so we went over there to ride the train.
Just as we exited the Casey Jr ride, we saw none other than Captain Hook himself. The boys were excited but awe struck.
We also rode the Tea Cups this time. (They were under rennovation when we visited Disney World.) The boys loved it!
I got this great video of Westyn while on the ride.
We also rode the Alice in Wonderland ride and the Snow White's Scary Adventure ride. The Alice one was a success but the Snow White one was pretty scary and Garytt cried when he got off. So, we went on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride to erase the bad memory.
By that time, we needed to start heading out of the park so we could make it to our lunch reservation. We walked by through the castle and said "good-bye" to Fantasyland.
It was time to go meet Goofy for lunch!
