California Adventure-Part 2

After our much needed afternoon break, we arrived back at California Adventure and located a spot for the Pixar Parade on Buena Vista Street.

Mickey went by on a trolley car before the parade.

We got the boys a special Mickey Mouse brownie as a pre-parade treat.

They finished their brownies and eagerly waited the start of the parade.

Finally, the Pixar Parade started. First up: Monster's University

As always, the Dinsey parades are really fabulous. And the boys were busy waving at their favorite characters throughout the parade.

After the parade, we headed over to the Monsters Laugh Floor ride.

After the ride, we found the steps to Monster's University.

We headed back over to Cars Land for a bit.

We were able to catch the dance party on the streets. (The boys were too shy to go dance.)

It was getting darker and we were able to enjoy Cars Land with all the lights on.

After another quick spin on Mater's Junkyard, we headed back over to Paradise Pier, which was also quite lovely at night.

We were a little early for the World of Color Show, so we walked through the pier area. We let the boys ride the carousel, which they always like.

Then Garytt asked to ride Mickey's Fun Wheel. That ride has stationary and non-stationary cars. I think Justin thought the stationary cars would be too tame, so we chose the line for a noon-stationary car. We ended up in a green Goofy car, which if you know Garytt, that was the perfect one!

The view from up high was nice...until we started swinging too and fro since we went with the non-stationary car.

So, both boys were eyes wide open and laughing the whole ride, while Justin and I were both gripping the seats and, at least I had to close my eyes. So, the swinging cars definitely add an extra thrill to a ferris wheel ride.

Finally, it was time to go find a spot for the World of Color show, which is a light and water show that they actually use water spray as a projection screen at times so they can show clips from various Disney movies.

This was a great show and totally worth staying for!

We had a great and full day at Disney's California Adventure.  Of course, we didn't get to experience a lot of the anchor rides like the roller coasters and such because neither of the boys meet the height requirement, but that just gives us a reason to visit again someday!
