Justin was able to get some time off at the end of June into the first part of July. So, we decided to drive back to Kansas to visit for a while. It was a nice break and we did a lot of fun things on our trip.
We did drive through the night though. So when we arrived, we handed Garytt off to Grandma and Grandpa and Justin and I took a nap. So, that day we mostly hung out around the house watching Garytt play.

That night we went to an activity that will surprise most people since we are such Aggies through and through. But we did attend the Cat Backer BBQ for the Topeka area KSU Wildcats. We even let Garytt wear a KSU t-shirt...but he had to have an Aggie cap on!
Garytt was able to meet several famous Wildcats...including Willie himself (he looks a little unsure about getting too close to Willie...I think he knows he is a rival).
He also met both the basketball coach, Frank Martin, and the football coach, Bill Snyder. Grandma was beaming as she was introducing little Garytt, especially when Coach Snyder commented on how beautiful Garytt's blue eyes are.
We enjoyed the BBQ even if it was a Wildcat party.
