Apparently, it was the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot while we were there.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to get around to see all of these but I wish we had!
The first thing I wanted to do was stop by the Innoventions West building to go meet Mickey himself. They have a separate meet and greet area for Disney Visa card holders there. The line was fairly short and they had a fire truck nearby that the boys could play on while Justin stood in line. Once we were next in line, Garytt got his autograph book ready.
Once we went inside, we saw that both Mickey and Pluto were there! Mickey and Pluto interacted with the boys and signed autographs first. (Side Note: I was worried about how Westyn would handle meeting all the characters...some kids don't really like them, especially at such a young age. Yeah, needless worry...you can see in a few of these photos Westyn is playing Peek-A-Boo with Mickey and giving Pluto a high five! Garytt on the other hand was so amazed by the autographs, he totally quit interacting with the characters.)
After a few minutes, we all got in a group photo.
After that we headed over to The Seas with Nemo and Turtle Talk with Crush. They were both in the same building. The Nemo ride was very similar to the Ariel ride in that you ride in a clam shell. It was a really cute ride but I didn't really take any pictures.
In that same building, they had a little play area that looked like a ship wreck. Watch out! Bruce might decide you look like lunch!
We headed to the Turtle Talk with Crush after that. I have to say, this was one of the most impressive interactive shows! It was really funny and they do a great job of making the animated Crush interact with the audience!
By that time, it was starting to get a little bit late, so we headed back towards the front of the park. We rode Space Ship Earth on our way out since it had no line. I think the boys enjoyed that ride too! We took one more quick family photo before heading back to the condo for the night.
That evening at the condo, Garytt had to show us how to use his sword to slay dragons. (One of the princesses at our lunch called him a dragon slayer.) He also informed us that Cinderella had really cool eyes!
Day 1 in the Disney Parks was a complete success! We had next to no lines all day long, the weather was great, and did I mention Prince Garytt received a sword?!
