DoSeum

On December 29, 2016 we had a slower morning and then went to eat lunch at Rudy's BBQ. We chose a location up north a bit and on the highway since Mimi was going to head out that morning. Rudy's is pretty much my favorite BBQ. I don't think everyone in the group feels the same way but I certainly enjoyed it.

We ended up spending more time in the car this day. The boys were eager to read their Lego Ninjago books they received for Christmas.

Next we went to the DoSeum in San Antonio.

There was a giant USA puzzle in one of the rooms. Justin quizzed Garytt on all the states that he has lived. He found them all.

Then I quizzed him on where does Mickey Mouse live. He got both of Mickey's states, too.

There was a whole robot exhibit at this museum that the boys were pretty interested in.

One of the neatest exhibits here was interactive. There was a camera set up that was connected to a camera in Mexico. We could write messages on a white board to museum patrons in Mexico. Garytt really enjoyed waving and saying "hi".

This was the funniest message we saw while hanging out at the camera.

Probably their second favorite section of the museum was the Spy Room. There were all sorts of puzzles to solve and then there was a command room where they had controls for the cameras placed all around the puzzle area. So, while you are working the puzzles, you don't realize there are kids in the command room watching you. The boys loved the command room.

Aunt Shira, Uncle Kirk, and Cousin Auggie were camping at a KOA in San Antonio this whole time. So, that evening we went to their camp site to roast hot dogs and just hang out.

After dinner, the boys got nice and cozy and Aunt Shira put on a movie. They ended up getting to watch the movie twice because the adults were talking politics...haha!
