Garytt wanted to be the Raphael, the red turtle, because he wanted to have the sai weapons. Westyn wanted the nunchuck weapons, which technically goes with Michelangelo, the orange turtle, but he wanted to be Leonardo, the blue turtle. The purest in me wanted him to choose either the nunchucks and the orange turtle or the blue turtle with the sword, but really what difference does it make?
So, here's Garytt as Raphael with the sai and Westyn as Leonardo borrowing the nunchucks.
Their first trick-or-treat adventure was on October 26 at LODO, which was actually a trunk-or-treat.
Ms. Val had a "spooky" tunnel for the kids to go through as well. My boys were pretty nervous about going in it. They watched a few kids go, then Garytt got brave enough to go. Westyn still waited. I just stood there with him until he decided. Then, he looked at me and just said "TURTLE POWER!" and off he went...cracked me up! Here he is at the end...such a brave little turtle.
On Halloween afternoon, the boys went to visit Justin's office for some trick-or-treating.
We ran into Olaf, Elsa, and Anna there, too.
Finally, it was time to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. (Can you tell the turtles have more "muscles" now...it was cold enough for them to wear jackets under their costumes.)
They were so excited they were shouting "Turtle Power!" as loud as they could from our front porch.
Off they go while I stay back to hand out candy.
Of course, they "needed" some candy when they got home.
The boys had a great Halloween! I think Halloween might be one of Garytt's favorite holidays. He's always telling me what he wants to be next year for Halloween...so far I have lots of costumes to work on...haha!

Westyn has a bit of "crazy shenanigans" in his eyes as Leonardo! :)
