Nashville Trip - Part 3

Tuesday morning, the boys and I started our day off early. We had seen this fun park not far from Stacey's house and wanted to explore that. We arrived right about 8am and it didn't take long before all of us were sweating and uncomfortable. Needless to say, we didn't last long at the park.

We went back to Stacey's for a bit to cool down and have some lunch. Then we headed over to a splash park. So, apparently, all the locals know not to go to a regular park, because the splash park was crazy busy. But the boys had a great time here! Their favorite thing was the tower of buckets that would fill up and then suddenly drench them.

That definitely wore the boys out and they enjoyed a nice nap. Stacey was able to take part of the afternoon off on Tuesday and we all went to explore another science center called the Discovery Center. This one was actually not part of our science center membership but they had $2 Tuesday special...awesome! I'm so glad we decided to go! This wasn't a huge science center but what they had was really well done.

The boys especially liked the area called Tiny Town. They had it gated off and set up like a little town (as the name suggests). So, they had a music store, a home improvement store (with Home Depot aprons), a post office, a grocery store, etc. They had mailboxes on the outside of each store and letters in the post office. Both of them really loved sorting and delivering the mail.

Upstairs they had some trains, which Westyn couldn't resist, and some other fun stations.

When we went back downstairs, we only had a few minutes before they were closing. So, we let the boys play in the water table. Stacey was the first to pull on one of the ropes. Well, sadly no pictures but the water went wild! Apparently, someone else had the tubes set up so they would spray everywhere. It shocked us all and we all got pretty wet. Of course, the boys thought it was hilarious and wanted to keep pulling on it before we could disassemble the renegade tubes. We eventually got it straightened out and the water table seemed much more tame after that.

Meanwhile, Justin was enjoying his NASFAA conference...giving a presentation...and earning a Gold Star award for his twitter chat! Awesome job!

Our time in Nashville few by, although I'm sure Stacey's kitties were happy to have their quiet, relaxed house back. Thanks for hosting us Stacey! We miss you already!

We picked up Justin from the conference on Wednesday and I decided to run to the outlet mall "real quickly"...hahaha. Luckily the mall had a play area.

And we rewarded the boys with a ride on the carousel before leaving. (Such a tourist trap to place that right in the food court!)

After the long trip home, the boys had a box of surprises waiting for them from Mimi.
