We started our day in Hollywood Studios. Garytt really wanted to check out the Star Tours ride again, which meant Westyn got to watch the Jedi Training session again. I tell you what, by the end of this trip, I had two huge Star Wars fans!
Shira and Auggie wanted to go ride some bigger rides that morning. So, we split up and Justin, the boys, and I went to check out Oaken's Frozen Snow Grounds. Um...yeah, we had to wait in line to play with
Soon, our time was up in the snow. But we did get a magic shot before leaving Oaken's place.
Meanwhile, Shira and Auggie got to ride the Tower of Terror.
As it turned out, when Shira and Auggie split off to do some of the bigger rides, they ran into a cousin on the Brown side of the family! Cousin Brenda, Shira and Auggie all rode the Rockin' Roller Coaster.
So, of course, once we all met back up we had to get a group shot!
By then it was time for lunch break and the afternoon break. We pushed our break up earlier than we had the previous days because there was rain in the forecast and we were hoping to miss most of that. After nap time, we headed back to Magic Kingdom. It poured rain while we were on the monorail and we actually waited under the monorail cover for a while until the rain let up a little bit. The area getting to the gates was flooded and actually pretty irritating that they didn't have that handled a little better as we were all getting our shoes wet. Anyhow, we made it through the main gates and prepared for a rainy afternoon.
I will say I was skeptical about going to Magic Kingdom on such a rainy afternoon...but it turned out GREAT! We didn't get a lot of pictures due to the weather but we got to ride a ton of rides!
We actually split into two groups again. This time Justin took Westyn by himself over to the Barnstormer ride. They stopped for a picture in front of the castle on the way.
Once they got to Barnstormer, they rode it several times by getting on then getting off and getting back in line. After a few times, the cast member running the ride actually allowed them to get into a rear car and just stay on to ride multiple times since there was hardly any line at all and they didn't need all the cars! I think that's pretty rare at Disney World! So, Westyn ended up riding Barnstormer six or seven times in a row!
They also rode the Tea Cups and the People Mover.
Meanwhile, Shira, Auggie, Garytt and I went to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Garytt loved this ride! We actually rode it I think four times in a row. We did have to get off and get back on each time but there wasn't a wait at all. I, however, didn't get any pictures because it was pretty rainy and didn't get my phone or camera out.
We met back up over in Tomorrowland, had a bite to eat, and finished off our day riding Buzz Lightyear several times. Of course, that means, we ended with more ride pictures.
We stopped for some sweet treats on our way out.
We had an wonderful low-key day in the parks partially thanks to the rainy weather...who knew rain could be so much fun?
The boys each received some money from Grandma and Grandpa to pick something out while they were at Disney. So, just before we left on the last day we let them pick their toy. They each picked a set of figurines. Garytt picked Sorcerer Mickey and all the villians and Westyn chose the Star Wars set. They were excited to play with them at bath time that night.
The next morning, we all had breakfast and then headed out to the airport.
We dropped Shira and Auggie off at their terminal first. Then we returned the rental car and made our way into the airport...I'm sure we looked crazy with the stroller packed with two car seats, the two boys pushing the big suitcases, and me carrying the remainder of the luggage...good thing the boys still find it entertaining to help in these situations.
We got checked in and the boys had lots of fun playing with their new toys while waiting at the gate (of course, decked out in their new Mickey Star Wars gear).
What a fun week at Disney World! We can't wait to go back!
