It didn't take us long to get our (free) tickets and head down the tunnel to explore space.
We headed straight to the kids area to let the boys do more hands on exploration.
We did go check out the telescope section of the museum as well because Garytt is fascinated with telescopes.
Pretty soon it was time to head back to the condo. (And let the boys take a nap on the way.) Justin and Westyn posed for a picture with the Chicago skyline but Garytt thought it was too cold to take pictures.
Justin also took a panoramic shot of Chicago.
We spent the late afternoon/evening just relaxing. We thought it would be fun for the boys to get to turn on the bubbles in the jacuzzi bathtub...apparently we were wrong.
The next morning, the boys enjoyed the last view from our deck while we packed up the suitcases.
Then it was time to hit the road.
We saw this just a few blocks from the condo...interesting.
We stopped at a rest area to have a picnic lunch on the way home. Sadly the wind was a little chillier than expected. So, we ate our lunch in the van.
The drive home proved to be tough on sunglasses...both boys destroyed their new glasses...good thing I got them for a couple bucks!
The weather was so nice in Missouri, that we decided to have a picnic dinner when we got home too!
We had a great weekend!
