Monkey Joe's

While my mom and sister were still in town, we decided to go to Monkey Joe's, which is a bouncy house for kids. We were unsure if there would really be enough bouncy toys for kids Garytt's age but we decided to venture over there anyway.



As it turns out they have three minature bouncy toys for kids 3 and under. Garytt was super excited when he saw the first one had Nemo on it!

Next he explored a bouncy toy that had an obstacle course designed for toddlers. He loved it! (And, yes, he had crazy hair that day! We had a ball cap on him but took it off so he could play.)









As Garytt was going to climb up the little bridge, we noticed that he had a huge booger! Wow! We are the people with the kid with the crazy hair and booger!! Nice. (Justin quickly went in and wiped his nose without contaminating the whole play area.)

After Garytt was done playing in the obstacle course, he decided to head for the big Monkey Joe bouncy toy. This was a toy that wasn't specifically for toddlers. So, there are signs that say an adult can assist a child if they need help. So, Justin decided to help Garytt through this bigger toy...it was harder than it looked.

After they went through the entrance, they came upon a wall they had to climb up. I wish I had the video camera because they had a hard time getting up it! I think it was difficult for Justin to maintain his balance while trying to help a 30 pound toddler up the wall with inflatable foot holds!





They did finally make it to the top and then there was a huge slide. Garytt did fine coming down and then the water works started...I think the slide was a little too much for him.

After the adventure on the big toys, we decided to stick to the toddler area. They had a minature version of slide in the toddler area. So, they headed there next.

Ok, so it was obvious Garytt didn't understand there was a slide on the other side. So, Justin and Aunt Bec decided to go inside the bouncy toy to help him go down the slide.









Once Aunt Becca was "on duty" with Garytt, Justin took the opportunity to rest (the big climbing wall really wore him out).



Garytt enjoyed the mini-slide toy for quite a while. Finally, we convinced him to take a break. The only way for Aunt Becca to get out was to slide down too.



Garytt really needed a drink of water after all that play!

After Garytt had a little water and a break, we realized that he was quite tired and it was pretty much time for him to take a nap. So, we decided to pack up instead of let him go back out and play. Surprisingly, he didn't have a complete meltdown, which is what I expected. Instead, he just kept saying and signing the word "more".



I think he was more ready than he realized because he didn't put up much of a resistance...so off to the car we went.

We really enjoyed our afternoon at Monkey Joe's! I think we will go back in the near future. It is a great way to get some of Garytt's energy out!
