We still had the box from the new bathroom sinks set up in the family room. That was a fun toy for both of the kids.
Peek-a-boo Hannah!
Peek-a-boo Garytt
Hannah did a great job transitioning to a new place but did have a few times when she struggled to get her nap in. So, Stacy got some snuggle time in with her while she napped on the couch.
When Hannah woke up, it was time to read a little bit.
Pretty soon Garytt was awake from his nap and wanted in on the reading action.
Then Garytt was ready to read with me...he's covering up my ever exanding belly.
He decided to end his story time with a kiss for mom...love that kid!
Monday was a rough day for both of the kids. Neither of them took a very good nap, which is really unusual for Garytt. So, we decided to take the kids to the library rather than stay in the house all afternoon. The Oshkosh library has a nice children's area that includes toys that are perfect for toddlers. Plus, as we just saw, both kids love books! So, it seemed like a perfect idea.
I snapped a few pictures on my phone while we were there.
Both Hannah and Garytt had a good time playing at the library. Unfortunately, I think Stacy spent most of her time chasing Hannah around the children's level. Garytt really likes the train set and blocks, so pretty much stayed in one area (which is great for me since I'm 37 weeks pregnant and don't move as fast as I would like). So, after a while, it was time to head home again. It was a nice little outting though!
Justin also took a few pictures on his phone while Hannah and Garytt were playing in Garytt's room one evening. Apparently, Garytt really wanted to wear the Dr. Seuss hat that is decoration in his room while he played.
Hannah looks a little unsure about that crazy kid in the hat!
Hannah and Stacy had to fly home on Tuesday. So, Tuesday morning was the last play time for Hannah and Garytt during this trip. I was able to snap a few pictures.
It was awesome to see how the kids progressed throughout the week. At the beginning of the week Hannah and Garytt played around each other but didn't interact much with each other. As you can see, they progressed to actually playing with each other.
In fact, they even learned to give hugs to each other. This is one of my favorite picture of them...they are so precious!
We truly enjoyed having Stacy and Hannah visit us this past week! I have to admit that I was really hoping that they would be able to meet the newest Brown in the family. Although that didn't happen, it was awesome seeing Hannah and Garytt play while getting to chat with Stacy!
