February Randomness

February brought a good amount of snow to Lincoln. Both the dogs (we still had two puppies at the time) and the kids enjoyed playing in it.


Westyn just can't resist eating snow...no matter how many times we tell him it's a bad idea.


Some of the neighborhood kids made little sled paths on that piles of snow created by the snow plows. The boys got out their sled and tried it out.


Of course, I had to get a video of this action.


Westyn and Maddie decided to create a fort in the snow pile closest to our house. It took them a while but they were able to build up the sides enough to have a small sitting area.


He wasn't happy I cut his sandwhich...he got over it.


Movie time...no idea why the floor alone is preferable to being on the floor pillows...


The boys received timers from the dentist. Then, Westyn remembered we had some timers at the house. So, this was a thing for a while in Feb. He would just sit and watch all the sand timers race...


Martyrs had a picnic day at school in Feb. The parents were allowed to bring in outside food and hangout and play some games. The boys played tic-tac-toe...they are pretty serious about that game.


After the picnic lunch, we were able to walk around and see the science fair projects. We started by looking at the projects done by the older kids. We ended by checking out the best project there...Garytt's planet Tagtry.


Garytt had been busy practicing artwork at home as well. He asked me to take a picture of these two.


I especially like this one. He drew a picture of my computer with two chromosomes on it.


The puppies got a little rowdy in the playtime one day. I was sitting in my office and nearly jumped out of my chair as this crash happened. So, our plans to get new windows, which was quite a ways down our list, just got bumped up to the top of the list! Thankfully, no dogs or kids were hurt.


Garytt lost his second tooth at school on Feb 22. He was proud to show me his tooth container before we even left the parking lot.


Garytt had a day off in February when Westyn had preschool. It's so rare that I get just mom and Garytt time anymore. So we went out and had a special donut breakfast after we dropped Westyn off.


February was a nice slow-down to our normally busy schedule.
