The boys enjoyed playing with the Chuggington train sets.
We got to see a bunch of model trains.
Here's a happy lil' engineer.
They also had an Amtrak train there to walk through. Garytt tells me he wants to ride on one of those.
Getting a picture in front of the train was a little tricky because it was so bright.
When we moved into the shade, the boys weren't that interested in pictures anymore...I tried to act suprised to get them to look at the camera...yeah, Justin caught my surprised face.
We moved on inside to visit Science City for a bit.
Then we met up with Grandma for lunch at Chick-Fil-A...sadly I have no picture of the boys with Grandma...just the boys enjoying some ice cream.
We decided to not to go to a traditional brunch on Mother's Day. Instead we had a picnic lunch at a park. It was a win/win. We didn't have to fight any crowds (in fact, we were the only family at the park) and the boys got to run off some energy.
The boys also made me some Mother's Day gifts at school. Westyn made a cute card and a footprint candle.
Garytt made me a handprint calendar.
He also made a little sign from a dictionary page. He painted a heart on it and circled a word that describes me. He chose "smart."
I am one blessed mommy!
