We tried to keep the boys on a normal schedule Easter morning, meaning that Garytt woke up and had his breakfast and then got dressed before we let him see what the Easter bunny left for him. I felt that this was the best way to be sure that we would all be ready for mass later that morning.
Here he is coming around the corner to see what the Easter bunny left. (Yes, his pants are way too long!)
He seemed pretty impressed when he saw the Easter baskets. The Easter bunny even knew that Elmo is Garytt's favorite character and put a few Elmo easter eggs in the basket!

Garytt and Aunt Becca decided to sit down and read his new book, The Lorax. (Garytt is not wearing any pants because we decided that they were too long and needed to be shortened really quickly. So, Grandma was sewing them up as they were reading his new book.)
Meanwhile, Westyn finally got to see his Easter basket. The Easter bunny brought some fun toys to clip on his chair or carseat, which he really liked.
Once Garytt's pants were fixed and everyone was else was ready, we took a family picture outside before heading off to mass. The boys aren't smiling but at least no one is crying!
Aunt Becca and Uncle Kyle looked quite nice for Easter as well.
After mass we came back to the house and had a little Easter egg hunt for Garytt. He wasn't too sure about it at first and I didn't help that he was really tired already.
He did eventually get the hang of it.
He sure was a cutie picking up all those eggs!
Westyn really enjoyed the egg hunt as well.
One Garytt collected all the eggs, it was time to go inside. Great Aunt Kathy helped him count all the eggs in his basket.
Once he discovered there were cookies inside the eggs, he was pretty excited to open more.
Then Kathy gave Garytt another Easter egg with a little surprise in it from her.
She also had an egg for Westyn with a $2 bill in it. We asked Garytt to show Westyn his egg.
What a cutie! He put the egg in the carseat with his brother!
By then it was time to eat lunch. We ate lunch outside since it was such a nice day. You can see Aunt Becca and Westyn are enjoying the weather.
